Co-creating an iPhone application is but one of the many pursuits of longtime Columbus resident Chuck Hootman. The owner-operator of downtown bicycle messenger service Cyclospace also is an owner of Tip Top Kitchen and Cocktails — an anchor of Columbus’ resuscitated downtown scene. If you can’t find Hootman riding a bike or cheering on his beloved Columbus Clippers AAA baseball squad you can find him behind the wheel of the midnight blue Buick LeSabre (that he drove to his early ’90s Mansfield High prom) or on a couch in his rustic Victorian Village garage enjoying a beer from one of mankind’s loftiest inventions, a kegerator, and majestic cassette tunes by mankind’s perfect band, Van Halen.

Cornhole All-Stars co-creator Jon Myers — a well-traveled Ohio native, skateboarder and recovering punk rocker who calls Columbus home — is the man behind JUFTi, a burgeoning iPhone gaming company, and DOmedia, a start-up focused on simplifying the process of buying and selling alternative media. When he isn’t discussing the artful merging of design, technology and business at GraphicConversation.com, he is playing poker, boxing, writing or envisioning creative ways to move information and entertainment to the people. And when he isn’t engaged in those pursuits? Myers, who has lived and worked throughout the Asia, is practicing Mandarin Chinese, a tongue he speaks, he says, “at the intermediate level.”
