Columbus, Ohio – August 4, 2009 – Cornhole players celebrate the release today of Cornhole All-Stars – the iPhone / iPod Touch game that takes the wildly popular bag toss game Cornhole from the neighborhood and puts it in the hands of millions of players. The game, a simple, outdoor, backyard pastime similar horseshoes, can now be played anywhere and anytime, available for download at Apple’s App Store www.apple.com/iphone/appstore.
Conceived and created by Columbus entrepreneurs Chuck Hootman and Jon Myers – founders of JUFTi Games – Cornhole All-Stars has brought this wildly popular pastime to the Apple App Store marketplace.
“Cornhole All Stars is pure Cornhole, made for the people who love the game and those who aren’t yet addicted to it,” said Hootman. “All Stars’ real physics and True-Toss Technology® make bag-flight control a breeze.”
Cornhole All-Stars is a “pass-and-play” game where up to four people can play on an iPhone or a single user can compete against the All Stars. Cornhole All-Stars players face difficulties – like gusty winds and cantankerous pirates – that they wouldn’t find at any tailgate party.
“Real physics gives Cornhole All Stars players the option of using True-Toss® or a flick of the thumb,” Myers said. “Someone sitting in a boring lecture can play the game without wildly swinging their arm in the aisle and ticking off their professors.”
JUFTi Games uses a leaderboard on the social networking site Facebook to spread the Cornhole All-Stars fever, which will allow members to “log into the game” with their Facebook accounts. Facebookers will be able to challenge their friends to Cornhole All-Stars matches, scoring points on their Facebook profiles and bragging about their clout in the All Stars Trophy Room.
“Cornhole All-Stars is about spreading Ohio pride around the world,” said Myers. “It’s as addicting as Flight Control and as challenging as Peggle – throw a bag, get in the hole, score with your friends. It takes a minute to learn and a lifetime to master.”
